 National Coach - Sensei Freddy Mwiya

Sensei Freddy was unanimously appointed by the Executive Committee to the position of National Coach for 2015 - 2017.

Sensei Freddy began his karate career in 1984 and obtained his Shodan grading (1st Black belt) in 1995 in Cape Town, South Africa. He currently is a 5th degree Black belt (Godan). He was a member of the Namibia National Karate team between 1996 and 2007 whereafter he retired from active participation. Sensei Freddy attained various national titles in kumite and had the honour to participate in two All Africa Games, as well as three UFAK Championships. He was the Karate-Zen International Kumite World champion in 1995 and 1996. Currently he serves as the Regional Northern Senior Instructor of Karate-Zen Namibia. With many international achievements behind his name we are proud to have Sensei Freddy part of our coaching team.
